Breakfast and dinner were outstanding, with wonderful food and a great atmosphere; the room was charming and modern. We really enjoyed our stay and the tranquility of New Cuyama.

I loved everything—the details make it so special, the vibe is super cute, the food was excellent, and the bar is a must. The rooms could use a tiny dresser or at least a shelf for clothes; I had to live out of my suitcase for the weekend, which was manageable but still inconvenient.

We were thrilled to see how beautifully decorated the place was, how charming it felt, the great amenities, and the amazing food, bar, and restaurant; we had no desire to leave except to see wildflowers at Carrizo Plains National Monument, about an hour and a half away, but we’ll come back in a heartbeat. The only nitpick is that the restaurant doesn’t serve coffee until it opens at 8:30 AM, but the chef was there and offered to make us coffee anyway, so that’s a small quibble.
