I loved the views and the room was absolutely clean; having a balcony was a highlight. The bunk beds were large and super comfortable, just like the couch! The kitchen was cute and I enjoyed all the board games. The shower was adorable. The location is ideal for snowboarders and skiers, and everyone was super friendly. The lodge is still closed (*pioneer lodge* has been shut for some time… you have to go all the way to the bogus entrance lodge *simplot lodge*). I couldn’t find staff for the office or a phone number, and because it was the weekend I couldn’t locate the sauna or the hot tub. The internet password was wrong; I have a screenshot and figured it out through trial and error. The TV remote batteries were dead, but I brought some. The wood‑burning stove/fireplace wasn’t working—seemed like the flue was clogged or shut at the top, and the smoke billowing in was unpleasant. I found a staff member who also couldn’t get it to work, so we had no heat all night, which was rough since it was well below freezing. My kids struggled with that. The bathroom door lock was present but didn’t actually lock; the door closed but didn’t secure.
