This place is absolutely stunning, with gorgeous surroundings, tasty food, welcoming staff, and every detail taken care of; I’d definitely return. There was nothing wrong—everything was perfect.

The room was excellent, packed with modern features, and it was close to Saltwhistle Bay; the food was incredible.

We just stayed at Windward for four nights and were greeted at the dock by very friendly staff who drove us in an electric buggy to the resort. The room was huge, well laid out with good furniture and lighting, and the bed was comfortable. The shower had instant, powerful hot water and a Japanese‑style toilet. The location is ideal, just steps from the beach and a 10‑minute walk to Saltwhistle Bay. The pool is warm and well designed with comfortable loungers. The owner was very friendly and told us all about his hotel, while the staff helped arrange a speedboat to Union Island to visit Sparrows. The restaurant was the best part—super friendly staff and some of the best food I’ve tasted in St Vincent and the Grenadines. We left with plans to return next year. Thanks to everyone at Windward Resort! Nothing to complain about.

The manager, Alex, was helpful and friendly; the collection service, drop‑off to the ferry, and lifts into town and back in the golf cart were all on demand. He returned a dress I had left in the room, which was great. The beach is a short walk to Salt Whistle Bay, and there are bars and restaurants nearby. The bedding was comfortable, the room spacious, and there was a coffee machine with coffee. There are no other options for this level of comfort on Mayreau since Hurricane Beryl. The value for money was terrible and overpriced; it would have been better if they had done a soft launch, kept prices low while improving and training staff. The photos were misleading—beach photos show Salt Whistle Bay, not the hotel beach, and many hotel photos are AI renders. Large parts of the site are a construction area with ugly mud, detritus, and materials. This is definitely not a “beach hotel.” It’s a super windy, wild beach (not a bay), covered in reed grass, seaweed, and rubbish with no effort to clean it. Kite surfers are dangerously fast across the sea and beach (ropes and kites) and the wind is too strong even to sit outside comfortably; the sea is choppy and waves are large, with lots of plastic, glass, and metal waste washed in and not removed. The staff were friendly but still learning. The manager charged my card in full on arrival without warning or even showing me the amount, added 11% in taxes I had already paid, and another tax on top of that, then argued about refunding it; cleaners left our room unlocked one day, then left all the room keys hanging outside our door the next; they forgot to replenish items; restaurant staff didn’t know the meal service timings. The manager said he would get back to us about queries and never did. We would have given feedback during the several nights we stayed, but were never asked by the manager, nor did we meet the owner even though he lives on site. It’s very poor for this level of hotel and cost, especially when newly opened.
