“restful stay with superb dining”
The dining at the Balmoral was excellent, with a wide range of breakfast options. The evening meal was superb, offering a broad selection and great vegetarian choices. Our room was small but cozy, just right for a short stay; larger rooms were available, but the cozy one suited us perfectly. There were no negatives—everything was lovely.

The Hotel is so comfortable and offers a lounge to sit and relax , an excellent dining room providing a lovely ambiance , fabulous food and lovely staff always at hand to give assistance. The gardens are well kept and there are plenty of tables and chairs to seat guests. There is on site parking and free safe road parking , there is a local bus that stops right outside that takes you down to the Harbour and further should you wish. The cosy rooms are a little small but it is mentioned when booking

I really liked the common areas and the staff, and the food was amazing too. The location is perfect, close to the sea for a walk after breakfast and near the main town. We didn’t have to move our car all weekend, which was fantastic. On the downside, our room was cramped, faced the car park, and the bathroom looked dated; there wasn’t enough space around the bed for anyone with mobility issues.

We only ate at the hotel one night, but the food was tasty and well presented. Most residents were elderly and retired to their rooms early, so the evenings were too quiet.
