Mad Monkey Koh Rong

I love all the reps and staff; they really made my stay. They always ensure you’re included in activities and their drinking games are so fun. The bed is spacious too. Overall highly recommended.

“The hotel is extremely bad, the rooms are full of insects and lizards, and the service is terrible.”

I booked a private room for five days, and when I entered, I found lizards and insects filling the room. I couldn’t sleep. I called the staff and asked if they could sleep in this atmosphere of lizards and insects. They told me no. I left the hotel, moved to another hotel, and asked for a refund, but they did not return it. Let me put the pictures from inside the room here so you can see for yourselves.

I only appreciated the spot and the local girls at the front desk, but I was disappointed that Mad Monkey Koh Rong lacks a communal kitchen, which is a staple for budget travelers. The bathrooms—especially the one near the bar—were perpetually smelly and dirty, and my bed had sand on it upon arrival. The mattress was hard and the curtain didn’t close fully, leaving little privacy while I slept. I left feeling unsatisfied.
