“Vielversprechend auf Bildern, enttäuschend vor Ort.”
The only thing we liked was the location. The pre‑arrival communication was friendly, but the first impression—especially compared to the slick photos of this “Boutique Hotel”—was disappointing. When we entered (via a door code, no front desk) the house already smelled damp. The terrace and the hosts’ apartment sat directly above our room, and because it’s an old building, it was quite noisy. We immediately spotted mold on the walls near the bed on the courtyard side. The room smelled damp, was cold in October (the floor too), and the mat in front of the shower was soaking wet. The sheets on the pillow were dirty, looking like the previous guest’s mascara. The bedding was also cold and damp, and the curtains were wet. The place wasn’t well cleaned; dust and grime were everywhere in corners and seams. In short, they’re trying to sell a fancy room (we paid 123 EUR per night in October) but fail to keep it in good condition. We complained via Booking, but the hosts showed no understanding or accommodation. Sad! It’s all about making money, not hospitality.
