The view, modern warm aesthetic, and fine design were impressive. Breakfast and staff hospitality were excellent. We were almost the only guests, as it was off‑season.

“One-of-a-kind escape with literal floor-to-ceiling mountain views in the perfect Carnia town”

The place is incredibly spotless, featuring a striking design of floor‑to‑ceiling curtain‑less windows angled to frame the mountains outside. Opening your eyes to the sunrise on the peaks is a unique experience; this hotel is one of a kind if that’s what you’re after. Sappada itself was our favorite of all the towns we visited, and the hotel sits in a quieter corner of town but is only a 5‑minute drive from many shops and restaurants. The only downside is that the property could feel more luxurious by offering premium toiletries—there’s only a single 3‑in‑1 shampoo/conditioner/body wash in the shower. They also enforce strict towel conservation, only giving us two extra large towels beyond the two large shower towels and four small hand towels already in the room. These measures likely stem from their commitment to simple living in harmony with nature, which in itself makes the escape interesting and unique.
