Located off Highway 70 in Morehead City, the Holiday Inn Express & Suites offers an outdoor pool and fitness centre. Spacious rooms and suites feature free Wi-Fi, cable TV, a desk, microwave, fridge, and coffee-making facilities. A breakfast buffet serves eggs, bacon, and cinnamon rolls. The hotel is 2 miles from Brandywine Bay Country Club and 7 miles from Fort Macon State Park.

The breakfast was bland; the egg omelette came pre‑made and there were no other egg options, and the sausage was so greasy I had to wipe it before eating. The luggage carts were the worst I’ve seen in 25 years and look ancient. It’s sad for a new, otherwise nice hotel.
