dieSonne is a family‑run bed and breakfast in Weimar, just 400 m from the City Palace. Guests enjoy a buffet breakfast of regional and international delicacies, fresh baked goods, vegetarian spreads, and tea. On‑site car rental and nearby cycling routes add convenience. Within 250 m lie the Duchess Anna Amalia Library, Schiller’s Home, Jacobskirche, Bauhaus Museum, and Congress Centrum.

Parking is right in front of the hotel (though a bit hard to find due to narrow streets). Parking is free after 8 pm! Arriving after the official check‑in time worked fine with the key provided. The room was small but nice! I was especially happy that they still offer single rooms, which is increasingly rare… The breakfast was outstanding (tasty, fresh, lovingly presented) and the service was wonderful. I’ve rarely had such delicious, freshly fried eggs in my life (scrambled eggs were also possible). Nothing to mention otherwise!

A very nice pension right in the middle of Weimar, quiet and central. Everything feels balanced and harmonious, from the lobby to the rooms, to the breakfast area and the breakfast itself. It was all nice.

A very varied breakfast, friendly service, and a lovely atmosphere/design. The room was sufficient, but truly very small.
