Directly on the Chobe River, right in nature. Watching elephants in the water was wonderful, and the boat ride was a great highlight!

The location is amazing—secluded and in nature. We saw lion cubs on the opposite riverbank, and we were only metres away from them on our boat. The lodge is far from the busy river spots in Kasane, so it felt like our own private corner of the Chobe River. Breakfast was incredibly good, lunch great, and afternoon tea/cake perfect. Staff and guides were all excellent. The rooms were huge and well appointed. For dinner, the food tried too hard to be western/high‑end style, which isn’t possible given the lodge’s location. We’d have preferred simpler food that was better executed.

The location is sensational—directly on the Chobe River with great opportunities to observe wildlife. The standard of the room furnishings and the lounge area was only standard and did not match the high price of the accommodation. The food and staff attention were only average. Very disappointing!

The lodge’s location and design are great. The breakfasts could use an upgrade, but it was fine.
