The staff were friendly, and breakfast offered many options; the bathroom lacked a night light, and it would be nice to have a small refrigerator and microwave, as the room needs remodeling and looks old with dated tub tile and floor.

The place was clean and the rooms were nice, but there was an issue with our reservation that wasn't in the hotel system; we waited at the front desk for 20 minutes while the clerk tried to sort it out, and she was not empathetic, did not apologize for the wait, and was not pleasant.

The area had homeless people nearby, which was a drawback.

The property was well maintained, but the surrounding area isn't great, though still acceptable for the value in Monterey Bay.

The beds were very comfortable. We had a clogged sink (no one fixed it), the girl's bed was not set up, I asked for it to be arranged and they gave me sheets to do it myself, maintenance in the room was not good, and breakfast was bland.
