“Italian countryside experience”

We originally booked a "hotel with parking" in Genoa city which was a huge mistake. there is no parking in Genoa. So we ate the cost of that expense after an hour of fruitless driving in the city and were lucky enough to find this place available in the country. The town of Casella has everything you need in short walking distance with a gas station, mercato, barber, and several restaurants. The hosts are exceptional people and we loved spending time learning more about life in Italy. The house is quiet with no AC. It was cool enough that heat wasn't a big issue, but a fan would have been welcome. Because the house is so quiet, outside noises are very audible. So we could hear the neighbor's TV and personal conversations through our open window and theirs, until about midnight. Lots of dogs in the area, too, so barking until at least about 10pm. This didn't ruin the experience, but it was something to consider

“Es war einfach wunderbar!”

The house sits in a very quiet, natural setting and is surprisingly affordable, especially for us who were heading north after catching the ferry from Genoa in the evening. We felt completely comfortable and would give 10 points in every category without reservation. Simona and Salvatore were incredibly warm hosts, making us feel like guests at friends’ homes. Salvatore’s breakfast was unbeatable, and he even bought lactose‑free milk for us that morning. Thank you so much for everything! We’ll definitely return.

“Perfetta”

The owners are very welcoming and super helpful, the property itself and its location away from the center (which was intentional) are great, and the cleanliness and breakfast they provide are excellent.
