The place was clean, but there was no baby‑bath available so we couldn’t use either the room’s tub or the large public bath, which was a big problem; without a spot to leave the child, parents couldn’t bathe either. We were shown a different, very tiny room than the one shown on the booking site, and paying 100 000 for a room without meals was unreasonable. Since the price was clearly off the usual rate, they could have offered a meal plan, yet no alternative was suggested.

The onsen was fed directly from the source without any dilution, which was fantastic, and the same hot spring water supplied the private baths—a rarity elsewhere. Every morning the staff cleaned the source pipes, so the water flowing into the baths was always pristine.
