“Un véritable enfer”

The location was good and the dinner dishes were tasty, but the accommodation was old and extremely noisy—no soundproofing at all from the first floor and the outside. Being on the ground floor made it impossible to sleep; every step from the upstairs neighbor rattled the ceiling and walls, the floorboards creaked, and daytime construction in the neighboring bungalows (hammer, grinder, drill) added more disturbance. I had to leave before the end of my booking despite having paid in full, just to find a decent place to sleep. On top of that, I found a dead cockroach in the shower, which was also poorly lit. The listing photos bore no resemblance to the dark, facing bungalows, and the claim of a “quiet location” was false. Most of the staff were unpleasant, and the owner was threatening and downright disrespectful. Seriously: stay away!

I loved everything: the staff were excellent, the rooms were great even though some lacked a TV—which didn’t matter because we hardly stayed in them—and the breakfast, lunch, and dinner were delicious; a fantastic spot for divers.

“Ubicación excelente pero sobria”

The location and the expected “informality” for a diver’s hotel are ideal if you want to escape the touristy feel of Playa Esmeralda in West Bay, but the breakfast was very scanty and the rooms/bungalows were sober—half of them didn’t even have a sea view, which justifies their location and choice, and in my case there were works underway that ruined any sense of harmony during the day, which is bad luck!

“Although they’re in a beautiful location their unprofessional staff devalues the resort.”

The spot was great, but the restaurant staff were extremely rude and clearly need a lot of training in customer service, turning the whole stay into a miserable experience.
