“Nice location and place but felt we were ripped off for 9 euros.”
Good location, and interesting property. After booking the room we received a note saying it would cost us 5 euros if we checked in after 1 pm. We arrived before 1:00pm and the rooms were not available then anyhow. We were then told we had to pay 9 euros, for a city tourist tax. Which we paid and were not provided a receipt. The host who we were talking to did not speak English and we were talking to the owner/manager (?) phone. Pretty sure the 9 euro charge was a bogus rip-off. No mention was made of this in the listing and online payment. Nor did we pay a similar tariff at a separate lodging we stayed at in Bari. There was a coffee machine but we did not use it as it was filled with old sludge
The location was very good.

We stayed in the first‑floor apartment; it’s a comfortable place for a few days even though it’s small, the shower is excellent, and we had booked it because it had a kitchen and a good location, but when we arrived they told us there was no kitchen; we asked for one and they kindly provided a stove; the mattress sagged too much, it was very uncomfortable and needs an urgent replacement.

The décor was thoughtfully curated, the staff were kind and offered useful tips, there were plenty of bath towels, and the neighbors were lovely. The tiny fridge was noisy, and I wish there had been a small shelf in the wardrobe.
