“Great value”

The location is spot‑on, with easy access to all the major sights and a tram stop and ferry pier just a short walk away; the room was clean and basic, and street noise was minimal for such a busy area. The downside was that check‑in was at 2 pm but the room wasn’t ready until after 3 pm, which was tough after a 24‑hour flight from the airport, and there’s no lift, only a big staircase down to the front entrance.

The spot is great, right next to all the attractions, the host is very helpful, and the place offers good value for money.

“Poor customer service”

The location is great, but there were several problems: I was woken by repeated knocking and, without any prior notice, someone was expected to enter my room to drill in the bathroom; other rooms also drilled frequently, making it hard to relax. Wi‑Fi was down over the weekend, the TV didn’t work, and the bathroom bin still held used tissues from the previous guest when I checked in. Overall, poor communication, noise, and basic cleanliness and maintenance issues let the stay down.
