I loved the location, just a block from the beach with stunning views of Kapiti Island, and the owner kept us well informed. The weather was quite cold, so we couldn't fully enjoy the lovely outdoor area. The room was small, but it had everything we needed and felt very homely. I missed the owner's rule that guests shouldn't cook; a barbecue would have helped since we didn't plan to drive for takeout. If I had known, we would have been better prepared, but I guess I just missed it.
