I booked Bharat Villa Homestay without seeing any prepayment requirement, but they only confirmed after I called and then asked for a token payment. I tried to have my medium trolley bag kept a few hours after checkout so I could tour Agra, but they said every major monument already offers cheap trolley storage at the entrance and refused to hold it. I trusted them, paid, checked in at 11:30 pm, stayed one night, and left the next morning. At Agra Fort, right after the Taj, the only storage available was for bags up to 7 kg—no space for a trolley. Scammers then pushed day‑room rentals just to dump my bag. After leaving Agra Fort I called them, explained how their false assurance ruined my tour, and asked how they would compensate. They admitted the mistake but flatly refused any compensation—what good is admitting the error if they won’t fix it? My complaint is simple: the hotel’s false promise about trolley storage at all major spots (Agra Fort is the second‑most visited after the Taj) led me to book them. If they hadn’t misled me after refusing to hold my bag, I could have found another place before traveling—just like Vanshika Homestay in Mathura, which kept my trolley for a few hours after checkout without any issue. Because of their misguidance my entire Agra tour was ruined. I won’t ban or recommend Bharat Villa, but I was clearly misled. I want at least 75 % of what I paid refunded as compensation—after all, I didn’t come to Agra just to sleep one night there.
