“Einfaches Hotel in Bahnhofs-Nähe.”

The bathroom in the single room was pleasantly spacious. Breakfast didn’t come as a buffet, yet the homemade dishes were plentiful and tasty. The lobby felt uninviting, and the single room in Hochpaterre was very dark. The breakfast area is located in the basement. The room’s furnishings were very simple, and the extra sofa was more of a nuisance.

The hotel is charming and conveniently close to the train station, which mattered to me. There are many thoughtful touches, and the breakfast is stunning—so good that it’s hard to serve just one person. The front desk staff were very friendly and efficient.

Breakfast was served in its entirety, and my requests were accommodated; it was plentiful, a fairly German spread with boiled eggs, lots of sausage and cheese, jam… The room was generous in size but poorly lit. The bathroom was spacious, yet it lacked hooks for small towels and no shelf in the shower area. There is no elevator; the dining room and terrace are only reachable by stairs, making it difficult for those with mobility issues. The lighting needs to be significantly improved.

“Overall good stay”

The stay was overall very nice, with friendly staff; the breakfast lady was especially kind and helpful. A better heads‑up about the construction in front of the house and the resulting entrance change would have been appreciated, but that’s only a temporary issue.
