Merzouga Luxurious Tented

The site, the tent, the desert. A jeep tour, extra booked (80 euro) for a 3‑hour drive around the desert and a lunch somewhere (extra charge). The cost to get to the camp is high: you must leave your car at a hotel and then go to the camp and back by camel or jeep, and they charge 20 euro per person—so for us 80 euro round‑trip, on top of the tent price. That should be mentioned when booking. Also, it was very cold in the tent, both for sleeping and eating.

Everything went according to plan. After a pleasant meeting in Merzouga, we left the car at a secure spot in a camp and it drove us as planned in a 4x4 across the dunes to the camp. The tent had its own bathroom with hot water, towels, and other amenities, and was tastefully furnished. Around the camp there were pleasant areas to relax, and you could walk or join nearby activities like quad biking and camel riding. The friendly staff made us feel comfortable, and we enjoyed a wonderful breakfast and a nice dinner. Though I can’t rate other campers in the area, our stay was excellent. We booked in advance and got good value for money without surprises. I’ll go back on another visit.

Our stay at Berber Luxurious Tented was nothing short of magical; the tents were elegantly furnished, blending traditional charm with modern comfort, and the desert views were breathtaking, especially at sunrise and sunset.

“Le falta cuidados”

The room was spacious and the staff were very attentive; the price‑for‑value is good if they fix the problems they have. It isn’t as luxurious as they claim. The private bathroom was a nightmare: the shower head didn’t drain, water overflowed outside the bathroom, the toilet lid was broken, the tent fabric was torn in several places, the outlets had exposed wiring, and the interior and bathroom rugs were dirty. The worst was that the generators kept failing, leaving us in the dark for a while—luckily we had flashlights. The food was fine but cold because it was cooked at the neighboring camp and the poor staff had to bring the plates over the dune. I know the price was lower than other camps, and we didn’t ask for luxury, but they should at least fix and clean the place because it looks poorly maintained.

A wonderful night in the desert. The camp team was friendly and the dinner was good. I highly recommend this camp. Thank you for everything.
