The spot was spot‑on, but the room was small and basic, and the window couldn’t open because it lacked a mosquito net.

Finally, the luxury room turned out fine, but we booked a luxury room and it was double‑booked at arrival, so we were moved to a cheap room with the note that we could move into our room at 10:00 tomorrow – not asked for, but it could happen. The next day we couldn’t get into the room until 16:00. I complained at reception because I wanted a refund for at least the first night. After five days of being held up, I got a partial refund of 1/3 of the first night, which is not the service you expect from a hotel charging almost 100 euros per night. Mistakes happen, but they should be handled neatly. Also, the shower water wasn’t always hot.

I love the surroundings; everything was clean and well maintained. The staff were very friendly. You’re in the middle of a beautiful garden, and it’s quiet even though it’s pretty central, so you can reach all the beach restaurants just minutes away. The beds were very hard, but after I asked for two duvets they became perfect.

The shower curtain was very good. The location was also top. Overall, it was a solid accommodation with good value for money and everything was clean. Unfortunately, there is no reception and you have to pick up your key at the restaurant next door. Towels weren’t changed and the bin wasn’t emptied, which became somewhat uncomfortable after a few days. There’s no gym, unlike what was listed on Booking. That’s not a huge deal, but you shouldn’t mention it.
