The staff were lovely and very friendly, and both the evening meal and breakfast were excellent; the bed was comfortable. The room felt a bit dated, had no curtains—just a blind—so daylight seeped in early, and even side‑hanging curtains would have helped.

The front‑desk staff were exceptional; they helped us resolve a rental van breakdown, and we enjoyed dinner in the downstairs pub and a very good breakfast in the dining room.
