Located in Sistiana, Friuli Venezia Giulia Region, Tivoli Portopiccolo Sistiana Wellness Resort & Spa offers a private beach, swimming pool, and sea views. The hotel features a fitness and wellness centre, private marina, and yacht club. Rooms come with free WiFi, coffee machine, flat-screen TV, and private bathrooms. Guests enjoy gourmet dining at Ocyan e Puro Restaurant and Azur Lounge Bar, plus a sauna, Turkish bath, and relaxation area with herbal teas.

The property is beautifully maintained and leaves almost no wish unfulfilled. The staff are very courteous and hardworking. The restaurants are first‑class and the beach club is lovely. Unfortunately, the excellent breakfast ends at 10:00 am; it should stay open until at least 11:00 am. The Wi‑Fi in the beach club is too weak for working on a notebook.

For a short trip it’s a nice spot that isn’t easy to find, right on the harbor, with a great atmosphere. The staff are friendly, the breakfast buffet is excellent with a wide variety of food, and the Azur Bar is great. The rooms are very appealing with harbor views, and the bathrooms are very clean—only a pity there’s just one bathtub. The food at the beach restaurant isn’t recommended; I had the worst “Spaghetti Frutti Di Mare.” In the Harbour Bar there are small lunch items but no menu; we ordered a Caesar salad, but it was nothing like a Caesar salad—apparently the salad had been in the kitchen for a few days, which was disgusting. The cups are scratched or broken, which is totally inappropriate for a 5‑star hotel. Prices at the Harbour Bar are inflated. The pool umbrellas are so heavy that they’re hard to open, and help or service is almost nonexistent. The lighting is especially annoying—lights on the terrace can’t be turned off and go out around 1 a.m.

Everything was great. Breakfast was a market, the staff were very friendly, the area and location were superb, and the pool was excellent. The gym and wellness facilities are also available.

The location in Portopiccolo is dreamy. The staff are exceptionally friendly, especially Michele, Alessandra, Vanessa, and Roberto, who deserve special mention for their kindness. The room was spacious enough and the sea view was sensational. Unfortunately, you often encounter hotel guests who are very affected and still complain about everything that really makes the hotel great. These people have forgotten how to appreciate the good in life and always want more. They often unjustifiably insult the hardworking staff, which is unpleasant for the rest of the (normal) guests.
