The hotel sits right in the city centre and the dinner was really good, with friendly staff. The building feels like it hasn't moved at all for the past 50 years, so the comfort is only average by today's standards, which makes the €80 per night price hard to justify.

The old‑school vibe of the hotel is calming. At night the manager told us the breakfast room would have everything we needed, but there was no staff to supervise. When we returned in the morning we were disappointed: no butter in the fridge, very little cheese, jam jars nearly empty, two barely fresh baguettes, and nobody to ask for more.

“Au soleil d’or c’est pas brillant !”

The location matched our needs. The room was dated, dirty, the breakfast didn’t match the price, there was no shower gel, hygiene instructions conflicted with the actual condition, the value for money was poor, and the dinner, though acceptable, was rushed even though we were only three.

“De passage pour une nuit, très bien.”

The hotel’s spot on the central square is peaceful. Nothing else to note.
