I totally recommend this hotel—great location, friendly competent staff, beautiful clean rooms. Nothing to add.

All meals were very good, tasty, the restaurant staff were very good, a good spread. Both buffet and à la carte offered great choices. The hotel is very expensive and not worth it; when you pay that amount you expect certain standards. I booked about two months before, but when we arrived they didn’t know about our booking and it took a long time to sort out. No mini fridge in the room unless requested. The mattress is very soft, cannot sleep. The door card didn’t work, we had to change it several times. The area the hotel is located in is not a nice part of Nuwara Eliya; when you open the windows you see shanties around the hotel.

The spot is great, but the rooms felt tired and the cleanliness left something to be desired.
