The staff were friendly upon arrival. However, the hotel had no minimum standards. I booked three nights but moved to another hotel after the first night.

“Davvero una brutta esperienza”

I only liked the location, but for my personal commitments it was just okay. I ran into a lot of issues and am trying to file a formal complaint on the platform. I arrived late afternoon, around 19:30, and was left outside the building for over 40 minutes with no one answering the bell. The listed phone was inactive; a recorded voice automatically played saying messages couldn’t be left. I emailed for help, but no one has replied yet. Finally, as we were about to leave, a senior gentleman opened the door. He kept us outside for another 20 minutes, claiming he had no notification of arriving guests. The situation was terrible. I showed him my reservation copy and he finally let us in, but he didn’t trust us and called someone, presumably the person who authorized us to get a room. He kept us waiting, asking for our documents and manually copying our data onto a sheet of paper while talking, and we were exhausted and couldn’t get into our room. When we finally arrived, we found a neglected bathroom with a dirty tub and toilet. The sheets had stains. The window faced the end of an external staircase, so we couldn’t leave it open to ventilate, which was a huge problem because the bathroom emitted a strong sewage smell. The assigned room was number 15, adjacent to a shared bathroom of other rooms… so double stench. They gave us one medium towel + one small one, nothing else, for two people. To top it off, the sink probably wasn’t properly cleaned with bleach, because my daughter laid her pants on it and found them all stained. I tried to explain the situation, but the only available person was the senior gentleman who welcomed us, and he didn’t listen, just wanted to talk. He said that everywhere in Porto there is a sewage smell and nothing can be done about it.

The staff were very friendly and the place is generally clean with a private bathroom. The guesthouse needs a room renovation.

The service was very good. The owners are very attentive. I got the location wrong; I thought it was closer to the center, but we used Uber and everything worked out.

“Bien”

C’était bien situé, proche de très bon restaurant et salon de thé que le personnel nous a conseillé. C’était un peu vieux mais compensé par la gentillesse du personnel
