Amberg Country Estate, in Paarl, offers Berg River Valley views with mountains and vineyards. The estate features individually decorated cottages with kitchen facilities, air conditioning, and garden or mountain views. A garden with outdoor pool, cycling, hiking, bird watching, and trout fishing are available. Boschenmeer Golf Course is 15 minutes away, and Paarl centre is 10 minutes by car.

The host was very lovely and welcoming, but the property is a bit remote, making it hard to catch Ubers; renting a car would have been better.

The view is fantastic, the pool is beautiful, and there is plenty of nature for a reasonable price, but there are many steps to reach the accommodation; it isn’t that bad, and the view is worth it.

Everything was even better than we remembered! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in a beautiful setting near the city of Paarl, and the owners’ friendliness was only surpassed by the staff 🫶, everything was perfect 😍.

A nice stay in a lovely setting; the view was spectacular and the braai/BBQ facilities were fun, but it is fairly remote, though there is a good restaurant within walking distance at the gate, and if you have a rental car everything is manageable (e.g., Babylonstoren about 15 minutes).
