The location was fine, but communication was a hassle because the staff didn’t speak English.

“Leuk voor backpackers”

We were treated kindly, so we booked another hotel right away and the staff even paid for our taxi after we paid for the room but didn’t sleep. The neighborhood was bad, there was no breakfast area, no restaurant, and the bathroom was open with a toilet. The shower curtain was right next to the bed.

“Nice comfortable room, not great area”

The staff were friendly and helpful, the room had nice décor, a clean and comfy bed, a fridge, a hairdryer, a balcony, and could be reached by stairs or an elevator. The hotel doesn’t accept cards and has no ATM, which is a hassle when paying in local currency. The bath water spilled all over the floor when the plug was released and the plumbing was faulty. The room needed a deep clean, the balcony was dirty with cigarette butts on the floor, there was no kettle or coffee facilities, and the area looked run down with derelict buildings next door.
