Schull Harbour Hotel & Leisure Centre

“In July we said we would give the hotel a second chance and so glad we did as it lived up to its rep”

We came back this year and everything felt far better than our July stay; kudos to the staff and the accommodation was great, the leisure centre was excellent and the staff were very friendly and pleasant! The only thing that wasn’t perfect for me and my husband was that I left my charger in the room and Beatrice sent it straight to my address in Clare. The reception team were amazing when I called on Sunday night after we got home—the gentleman I spoke with was extremely nice.

“Relaxing and enjoyable”

The staff were very friendly and helpful, breakfast was perfect, and the room was clean. I don’t think they could have done any better.

“Friendly staff great location value for money”

Breakfast was tasty but I’d rather have a buffet. The space could use a cozier area; the lighting was too bright.

“A very happy and memorable stay.”

The location is superb right in the town of Skull. Bus Eireann stops nearby for public transport, and the car park is directly across the road with no charge. The room was large, tastefully decorated, and spotless. The queen‑size bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was nicely decorated with a large jacuzzi. The view of Skull harbour from the bedroom was beautiful, especially at night. Breakfast was good and everything was cooked to order; coffee was freshly brewed. Lunch and dinner had good menu options. The restaurant staff were very attentive and helpful. I had one of the best fish chowder soups I’ve tasted in a long time. I had a very happy and memorable stay at the Schull harbour hotel and plan to come back next year.

The location, staff, and amazing food on Steak Night were great. My bed was a bit hard for me since I have arthritis and usually use a softer mattress.
