“Esperienza da rifare”
In a privileged position on the side of a hill and at the edge of a small forest, under the discreet shade of some maritime pines, stands this enchanting place, which previously had to be a two‑story country farmhouse, the ground floor used as animal shelter; today ElsAnto is a hospitality facility with every modern comfort. From the covered terrace in the garden you enjoy the open and direct view of the medieval town of Rotecastello, probably founded by the Etruscans, which is a small gem set in the surrounding hill panorama, an ideal subject for a postcard or a painting. The room we were allocated was new, very clean and furnished in a refined taste, where the rural setting (exposed stone walls and some antique furnishings) coexists in a balanced and harmonious mix with modern elements. The owners, Daniela and Paolo, who have reserved their own accommodation on the upper floor, are welcoming, available, smiling and discreet; they convey a pleasant sense of serenity, perfectly in tune with the relaxed mood that the facility itself and the panorama evoke as soon as you get out of the car. Comfortable bed, spacious bathroom, equipped with all accessories. Paolo and Daniela’s advice about where to eat, walk and visit interesting places nearby turned out to be spot on. Simple breakfast with croissants, toast, jams and yogurt. In the breakfast room there is also a small kitchen, complete with a sink and induction hob, available to guests, as well as the precious capsule machine for hot drinks (coffee, cappuccino, tea, etc). I didn’t like leaving and in fact we will return to relax in the shade of the pines, this time staying at least a couple of nights.
