A very beautiful historic and comfortable hotel on the Mariazellerschmalspurbahn, with the charm of the “good old days” in great nature.

The breakfast was amazing – homemade dishes, fresh fruit, plenty of options. The front desk was super friendly and I felt right at home. On the downside, the Wi‑Fi didn’t work at all, and I was told over the phone that there’d be no extra charge for my dog, only to be hit with €25 a night when I got there.

“Sehr ruhig in schöner Landschaft gelegen”

Nestled on a hilltop, the hotel offers a peaceful setting and great views of the surrounding woods and hills. The rooms are spacious and well-appointed, even with a small kitchenette. The balcony is a nice spot to enjoy the scenery. Cleanliness is top-notch and Wi‑Fi is available throughout. Breakfast is decent, though not extensive. If you’re after silence and hiking, this place fits the bill.

“Ferienwohnung im Hotel mit beiderlei Vorzügen”

The breakfast buffet is top‑notch, featuring fresh organic produce straight from their own farm. I haven’t tasted anything like that normal fruit since I was a kid. The whole spread is just fantastic.
