Elisabeth is the kind of host you wish you had. She’s always ready to share stories about the land and its people, and she truly goes the extra mile, taking the time to help. We got the whale‑watching tip from her, and the breakfast was lovingly arranged and delicious. There were no negatives at all.

The highlight of the stay was the host. Her warmth and affectionate nature won us over completely. The breakfast was fantastic and always had little variations. Our room was quiet with a wonderful view.

“Exceptionnel!”

We loved our stay at this place. First, the cabin is well‑situated on Route 1, easy to reach from Akureyri, and close to all the local activities. It’s large, modern, well‑furnished, and especially clean. What really sets it apart is Elisabeth, the owner, who offers personalized and exceptional service that we rarely encounter. She is welcoming, kind, attentive to guests, and takes time to know them without imposing, preserving our privacy. Her homemade cooking is incredible—she’s a real chef! She prepares all meals with local or farm ingredients, doing everything herself, and the results are noteworthy. Whether it’s breakfast or dinner, I highly recommend her. It’s hearty, tasty, and inexpensive for everything we ate. In the end, I agree with all the other glowing comments from fellow travelers, and after spending two days there recently, I confirm and give her the highest distinction without hesitation. Bravo and thanks again for everything!
