Agroturismo Artola, a 16th-century restored farmhouse, sits on a hillside outside Astigarraga, 8 km from San Sebastián. The family-run country house boasts a garden and terrace with breathtaking mountain views. Rooms feature flat-screen TVs, private bathrooms, and countryside views. A charming lounge with fireplace, shared kitchen, and outdoor dining area are available. Nearby, buses to San Sebastián, Zarautz surfing spot, and the French border await.

Everything about the stay and the view was good. Nothing else to note.

The self‑service kitchen and honesty bar were great, and the cider was excellent. The views looked out toward the city and back toward the mountains. The only issue was hearing the highway below, but that was a very small problem.

The owner was attentive and very welcoming; we managed to communicate despite the language barrier. The view lived up to what was promised, and the difficult access actually provided the kind of city isolation we wanted. Breakfast products were very good, and the large sunny terrace for breakfast was a treat. The only drawback was the air‑conditioning: they had warned us that it would be turned off from 23:00 to 11:00 because some guests felt cold. In summer, this meant we couldn’t remove enough layers, which made it hard to sleep due to the heat.
