Dating from 1815, the Abad Toledo occupies a former blacksmith’s workshop in Toledo’s Old Town, steps from Puerta del Sol, Cristo de la Luz Mosque, and 450 m from Zocodóver Square, with river Tajo views. The location and the space really let you feel like you’re living in Toledo, and the breakfast was very good. Some of the facilities could use a modernization.

I booked this place for a trip with my baby and it was perfect; they gave us a high chair at breakfast and even set up a crib at no extra charge, which made us very happy. The breakfast buffet was very complete, and everything else was great.

This is a beautiful older building with lovely quirky non-standard rooms right on the edge of the old town. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Parking is just down the road but underground and completely secure. Perfect for a visit to the magnificent old town which is an absolute gem. Everything is in easy walking distance of the hotel. It's a smaller hotel so breakfast was a little more limited than in some of the bigger hotels but still perfectly fine. (I'm struggling to find something I didn't like!)
