The décor was gorgeous and the room super comfy, and the spot was lovely. Still, only instant coffee sachets were in the bedroom, whereas most places now offer fresh coffee bags too. The vegetarian Sunday roast was awful—just cauliflower cheese, no special nut roast or Wellington. Since you could also order cauliflower cheese as a side, it felt like an afterthought.

The bedrooms were lovely and clean. I arrived after the kitchen had closed for dinner, but there were still guests eating and the place smelled great. The bath in the bedroom is nice, but it should be made clear that it’s not a separate bathroom or shower room when you book.

The vibe was great and the food was very good, but our room was noisy because it sat under attic rooms with no roof sound‑proofing.
