The hotel is within a 10-minute walk of Tain Railway Station and near main supermarkets. It's one hour from Inverness Airport and a short drive from Glenmorangie distillery. The hotel offers home-cooked meals, pet-friendly rooms, and free parking, making it ideal for weddings, golf tours, and whisky tastings.

Everything was very good, it surprised me a lot.

The staff were friendly, check‑in was easy, the hotel is a Victorian mansion, the restaurant sits in the sunroom and the bar feels cozy. Beautiful old fireplaces in the common rooms give a strong highlands vibe. The room is spacious. The location is great for visiting Glenmorangie distillery, Lochdon and Dunrobin Castle. The shower screen was wobbly, but hot water was fine.

The staff were all friendly. The shower in the room didn’t work, there was black mould on the grout in the bath, the food was below standard. The roast potatoes and Yorkshire pudding clearly had been left from a previous serving and reheated. The scrambled eggs at breakfast were rubbery and cold.

Excellent, spacious hotel and room in a semi‑rural setting. Great menu options. As elderly holiday travellers we had heavy suitcases and there was no lift to help us to the first‑floor room – a small issue.

Beautiful old house. Helpful reception staff and waiting staff. The room had not been cleaned for months - the window frames especially as they were black with dirt and mould. The shower was over a bath and there was no handle to assist getting in and out. It seemed that no care was shown. Chandeliers had had light bulbs changed with what was to hand, not the right shape or colour. Pictures not hanging straight, frames not dusted
