Le Grand Mazarin in Paris offers a prime central setting, within an 8-minute walk of Notre Dame Cathedral, less than 1 km from Sainte-Chapelle, and a 16-minute stroll from the Louvre Museum. Paris Orly Airport is 17 km away. The hotel features a spa, fitness centre, indoor pool, and free WiFi, along with a hot tub, hammam, and yoga classes.

The hotel was incredibly gorgeous—pure visual delight. My room featured a balcony and a very comfortable bed. Concierge Victor was extremely helpful, arranging restaurants in advance and handling everything smoothly. The maid service was excellent and the Wi‑Fi was strong enough for Zoom meetings. The room was quiet. The restaurant, on the other hand, was horrible. Every morning at breakfast I felt like gouging out my eyes—the servers were slow, confused, and completely uninterested in guests’ comfort or experience. One server raised his voice at a guest, repeatedly telling him, as if he were a child, that he couldn’t have both a side of bacon and a side of sausage! It was clearly a misunderstanding, but the tone was inappropriate. The couple he spoke to were Black, and it felt like there was a racial undertone to his condescension. On the first day the restaurant was out of croissants—c’mon. Also, the food, once it arrives, is terrible; the eggs were cold every time. Food was bad for room service as well. The nighttime concierge needed better restaurant recommendations—they sent us to a tourist trap that looked like the set of Moulin Rouge and the food was bad. The light switches and switches in general were hard to see, which is the only design flaw.

A fantastic little city hotel, perfectly located, with charming and dedicated staff, a great breakfast, and a superb pool!

The location, pool, and spacious room are hard to find in le Marais; the decor feels a bit too extravagant for me, I’d rather have a minimalist vibe to unwind after the city bustle.
