The hotel sits in a convenient spot, with plenty of other hotels, restaurants, local and branded shops all within walking distance.

The room was decent, with a double aspect that felt refreshing, and the bathroom, though compact, stayed clean. However, you have to climb a large flight of stairs—so anyone with mobility issues will find it impossible. The toiletries bar on the top floor was closed, and there was nothing available there. The pool was a small plunge pool, only big enough for two or three people, and the water was dirty. The “Restaurant” offered a very limited menu. The ceiling fan was noisy. I’d seen this hotel many times before and had booked once, but had to cancel, so I was really looking forward to staying there; it turned out to be a letdown. The only silver lining was that I had booked only two nights, not my usual five or six nights in Negombo. We live in Colombo and like to get away four or five times a year.

This is the best hotel to stay at.

The location, the room and the terrace, and the friendliness of the staff were great. The only downside was the lack of proper dining options and the street-facing terrace was noisy.
