Breakfast was fine, but the place was extremely loud and the air‑conditioner made a lot of noise; the reception was right outside the double rooms, and there were a lot of mosquitoes in the common bathrooms.

I’d suggest adding a lamp shade so that the lights don’t leave the room in total darkness; we ended up borrowing a rechargeable lamp for that. The receptionist was very helpful and warm. The spot is close to everything, which is great for a DIY city tour, except if you’re heading to Maquinit Hot Spring where we rented a motorcycle for 6 hrs and the front desk helped us with that.

The location was very good, but after the first night in a four‑bedroom private‑bathroom suite, I asked for an extra night and they moved me to a six‑bedroom room that was too small and faced the street, so I heard motorcycle traffic and people all night, plus the terrace crowd.

The proximity to the port for the ferries was convenient.
