The small village of Barberino is right next door, with a magnificent view of the Tuscan hills in front of the house. The owner is friendly and responds quickly to our messages. The constant car noise on Via Cassia, which runs just behind the house, was relentless; our room faced that road, with heavy traffic from 6:30 am to 11 pm.

I stayed in a lovely little house with a wonderful view and a fantastic pool, perfectly positioned between Firenze and Siena for exploring Tuscany. Everything was fine, but keep in mind that the property sits right next to the village road, so there is some traffic noise; if you're sensitive, it’s best not to sleep with the windows open.

The décor was authentically Tuscan, the rooms were well equipped with comfortable beds and plenty of dishes, and there was a nice, relatively shallow pool in the green area below the apartments. The host was very friendly and even offered her own olive oil and wine. The central location does mean the rooms can be noisy from the street.

A beautiful house on a stunning location with great views, ideal and centrally located for exploring Tuscany. The village is idyllic. It sits directly beside a road with some traffic, though it isn’t too disruptive. With the AC on, you can sleep with the windows open.

“Głośna klimatyzacja”

Everything was great. The rooms were very clean, the beds comfortable, and the bathrooms were spotless with all necessary supplies. The whole apartment gave off the vibe of a Tuscan residence. Parking was behind a gated entrance. The pool was large and fairly deep; I’m 184 cm tall, so standing on my heels the water reached my chin. Towels and umbrellas were available by the pool, and it was lit at night. From the pool you could see a beautiful panorama, watch sunsets, and swim after dark. About 59 m from the house there was a nice bar with a playground next door, so parents could relax with drinks while the kids played in the shade of lovely trees. The only real drawback, which outweighed all the positives, was the air‑conditioning. Each room had AC; in the living room and kitchen it was fine, but in the upstairs rooms the AC occasionally made an unpleasant noise that woke us at night and made it hard to sleep. Apparently water collected in a tank and its draining was very noisy. The only fix was to turn the AC off and open the windows, but with the windows open we were woken by traffic from the busy road next to us. So each night we had to choose between the noisy AC or the passing cars, and that ruined our trip. The pool water was clean, but it could have been vacuumed to remove debris that sank to the bottom.
