The little Club Getaway at The Hay Barn

Thank you to Candice and her friendly team at the Hay Barn for a wonderful stay - I had an absolute Amazing and Relaxed time. Casual chats with the parrots, barn vibe chirps with the 🐓 in the morning and late afternoon lazing outside on the pation gazing at the sunset through the 🌳🍃 The accommodation and hospitality is tops! Will definately be back🌹

“Not much to crow about.”

The location is convenient and the rates are reasonable, and the shower is lovely. However, roosters crow all night, a bright green security light shines into the family room, the fireplace smokes into the room, and the solar lights don’t work so you’ll need your own lighting.

“Acceptable but pricey for what offeered.”

Breakfast was fine and the location is okay, but there’s no TV in the rooms and the communal facilities are lacking.

The shower and toilet have no ventilation, so every toilet sound is very audible in the room. The lighting was very dim; we understand the use of solar and batteries, but the placement of lights could be improved. There are no plugs for electrical appliances.

“Rustic Farm Chic..A Farm highly recommended!”

Our recent overnight stay at The Hay Barn Farm was awesome. Located in Ligetton in the Midlands, it was easy to find and a perfect stop for our road trip. As we entered the accommodation gates, friendly horses greeted us and Candice, our host, was there too. From booking to departure, Candice was an excellent host—warm, detail‑oriented, and genuinely caring. She was always reachable via WhatsApp or phone and made sure we had everything we needed. The farm blends comfort with natural beauty: beautiful fruit trees, talkative birds, rustic furniture, and sculptures that will fascinate creative folks. The farm is clean, with a few roosters, chickens, and horses. It’s pet friendly, which was great for our dog, and ideal for groups. A small farm store on site supplies self‑catering needs. The rooms were spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated—definitely Farm Chic. We chose inter‑leading rooms, each with a coffee and tea station and a fireplace. The linen and beds were clean. We spent most of our time at the clubhouse, which had everything to keep us comfortable—it felt like home. There’s a kids’ playpen, so everyone was accommodated. Thank you, Candice; we’re definitely coming back for a longer stay. This farm is highly recommended.
