It’s within walking distance to the lake, but we had major communication, billing, and service problems during our three‑night stay. Before arrival, the booking platform told us to pay a 30 % advance deposit to a personal account. Our attempts to confirm this via the official phone number and WhatsApp were ignored. After we transferred the deposit, the property said our original rooms had been given to earlier paying guests. Because other places in Cholpon‑Ata and Bosteri were fully booked for the World Nomad Games, we felt forced to upgrade to larger, much more expensive rooms. Though the hotel was said to be full, it looked largely empty, hosting only our group of 10 and a few other guests. The online listing claimed credit cards were accepted, which a staff member confirmed by text before our trip, yet at reception they refused card payments and demanded cash only, forcing me to borrow money from my fellow travelers. The service level was disappointing. Our rooms were never cleaned during the three nights. Breakfast was served after 9:00 AM and was so poor that we drove into Cholpon‑Ata to eat elsewhere. The property seemed severely understaffed, run by a single person handling reception, housekeeping, and food service. After we checked out, the property asked us to mark our reservation as a “No Show” on the booking platform, even though we had completed the three‑night stay.
