Clarion Hotel The Colony - Plano West

“Decent ,staff was very accommodating”

Our stay at this hotel was pretty basic, with a simple breakfast of a muffin and coffee. While it wasn't the most impressive meal, it was fine for a quick bite. However, the shower was a bit of a letdown, with low water pressure and a dirty surface. Not the worst experience, but not the best either.

This place has a killer location, but that's where the positives end. The hotel's not even level, which is a bit disconcerting. The shower floor's got cracks, there are no overhead lights, and the doors won't close properly. And don't even get me started on the water pressure – it's like they're trying to wash away any remaining hope.

“Very very bad”

I'm still trying to process the nightmare we experienced at this hotel. We booked two rooms for a family trip to Dallas, but things quickly took a turn for the worse. Within hours of checking in, we discovered a infestation of insects and bugs in both rooms. The kids were bitten by fire ants, and we found dead cockroaches in the children's room. We couldn't sleep at all, and the situation was unbearable. The front desk staff did change our room, but the second one was just as bad.

I'm still fuming about the way they handled my caution fee. They held onto it for more than 24 hours, which is just unacceptable. I'm not sure what kind of business practice that is, but it's definitely not one I'd recommend.

“Peaceful and convenient location”

The location of this hotel was perfect, right in the heart of everything. But, to be honest, the bed could've used a few more blankets. It was a bit chilly in the room, and I had to ask for extra blankets a couple of times.
