“Posto carino ma impossibile dormire”

The spot was cool, but the place looked a bit shabby because the interior curtains were torn and had holes. The noise was a real issue, with trams sounding like they were right outside and the neighboring rooms making a lot of noise, so sleeping was impossible. We chose a pricier room for more comfort, yet we spent the night with nothing to show for it.

I let Sara know we’d arrive around 11 am, she welcomed us, handed over our key, and explained how the apartment was set up. We liked the daily snacks that were offered. On occasion we ran into network problems when trying to open the porch.

The place was stylish, clean, and in a good location. We booked the room under different expectations: reviews often mention a good breakfast and friendly staff. Neither was present. The accommodation isn’t a B&B anymore but a large flat with individual private rooms. No staff on site, check‑in and check‑out were digital. At 1 am a storm bell rang for minutes because apparently a guest couldn’t get in by themselves. The room was so small that you could barely pass the bed, and there was no real space to open a suitcase. The façade photo didn’t match the reality (is that allowed?), so we were simply disappointed; we had something else in mind. The outdated reviews should be removed.

The location was great, the staff were very friendly, and it was a nice place for our two days in Turin.
