The house was huge with a big yard and easy beach access, but we hit a few snags. We weren’t told about extra charges for sheets and linens until after booking, and when we got there the place was dark, cold, and missing basic stuff like salt, pepper, tea, coffee, soap, foil, milk, and water. The neighbor’s dog barked nonstop whenever we stepped outside, and there were no pubs or restaurants nearby.

It was very cosy and comfortable, just what I needed for a quick getaway. The room was warm and the bed was plush. I left feeling relaxed and ready to explore the town.
