“Expansive with disappointment”

The room décor was high‑quality and the location was excellent, but there was no parking – the hotel charged 20€ for parking. Checking in was confusing because it was inside a restaurant, there were no standard electric outlets in the room, and the room temperature wasn’t controlled.

What a place! The suite was great and the whole building and surroundings were just as good.

“Beautiful building with well appointed rooms.”

The hotel sits right in the heart of town, making walking to any spot a breeze. Getting there by car was a cinch, with easy parking, and the building itself is a tastefully renovated former military structure. However, it wasn’t immediately clear where the hotel proper began or where the reception desk was, because the downstairs hosts a popular bar/cafe/restaurant that caters mainly to non‑guests.

The room was fantastic, spotlessly clean, comfortable, and finished to a very high standard. I could not fault the quality of the accommodation and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Customer service was unreliable throughout our stay. There appeared to be little or no reception or porter presence outside normal hours, and restaurant staff often seemed to be covering reception duties while also serving guests. The biggest issue was an airport taxi that I had booked through the hotel over a month in advance and personally reconfirmed twice. Despite being assured it was arranged, no taxi arrived on the morning of our departure. With no receptionist available to help, I had to make last-minute transport arrangements at 06:30 whilst trying to catch an early flight. To make matters worse, the main doors were locked and we only discovered an alternative exit after a cleaner assisted us
