The location is perfect for exploring the city. The street outside is quiet and well kept with many beautiful plants by the entrances. “Fika” (called “frukost” in the description) is available in the kitchen all day, so a coffee/tea with a muffin in the afternoon is no problem. The common kitchen is also very cozy. The bed was very comfortable. The phone network died in the room (maybe because of the concrete walls?) The Wi‑Fi was fine there, but it disappeared in the kitchen instead. The toilet didn’t flush everything down. It was quite annoying.

“Hay q ir a donde uno esta feliz...”

I give it a 10 because it’s a simple hostel but with character…private room and bathroom…very clean, nice, cozy, well located. Excellent service, because when I had a problem it was solved immediately by hosts Tiziana and Marco. Very friendly people who speak Spanish and English, just a 3‑minute walk from the historic center…I was honestly very happy with the experience…thanks for everything and if you’re thinking of traveling to Cagliari…don’t think about it! You’ll love this place. The only suggestion: time flew by…also, it would be good to have something salty for breakfast.

“Excellent location, but strong fragrances significantly affected my stay”

I stayed here for 9 nights, from 15 to 24 September. I liked the historic central location and the reasonable price. The room was relatively small. A dehumidifier was running, and I kept the window closed at night. I slept reasonably well the first three nights. From the fourth night onward I developed a persistent cough, runny nose and increasing throat and airway irritation. The cough became strong enough to disturb my sleep. I didn’t notice all of the air fresheners immediately upon arrival, as I didn’t inspect every part of the room in detail. I noticed them gradually during my stay, including in places I had not initially looked at. Eventually, I found at least four gel air fresheners in different parts of the room. One of them was the product shown in my photograph. Its label describes it as a deodorizer for “large rooms” and states that it causes serious eye irritation and may cause an allergic reaction. At first I thought my symptoms might simply be related to the change of climate or another cause. However, as the cough and irritation became worse, and after I noticed the number of strongly fragranced products in the room, I became concerned that the indoor fragrance might have contributed to my symptoms. I removed the air fresheners from the room, but the strong fragrance remained for some time. Even after removing them, I could still smell the fragrance and experienced throat and nasal irritation. I bought a cough remedy from a pharmacy. I cannot medically prove that the air fresheners caused my symptoms, and I do not want to make an unsupported claim. However, the timing of the symptoms and the very strong fragrance made this a significant concern for me. For future guests, I would prefer accommodation where several strong fragrance products are not continuously used in a relatively small sleeping room, particularly where ventilation is limited. The location is excellent and the price was reasonable, but the fragrance/indoor‑air issue significantly affected my comfort during this 9‑night stay.

“Tolle Unterkunft in netter Strasse im Schatten der Bastion.”

The location was perfect for exploring Cagliari, and the hosts Tiziana and Marco were incredibly friendly and helpful. The room was beautiful and fully equipped, though a window with a view would have been nice; since I only stayed overnight, that was fine.
