The view was great, the place felt clean, and the staff were friendly and approachable. I wish they had added a few more amenities.

A cozy spot just a short walk from the beach, more like a family-run bed and breakfast than a typical hotel. The staff were warm, grounded, and professional without being aloof, and they could communicate in English when needed. The location is quite distant from the airport, so getting into town usually requires a taxi; the check‑in desk lists phone numbers for local taxi companies.

Breakfast was tasty, the room was spacious, and the darkness was appreciated. However, there were about six tiny ants in the room, which could be unsettling for those who dislike insects; on Yamaguchi Island itself, insects are plentiful, so it might not be a major issue.
