GOGO` Petit Hotel

I liked how easy it was to get to the train station and the main sights from the hotel, and the area felt safe.

The room looked luxurious, and the bathroom was spacious and modern; the location was nice, far enough from the city center to be quiet but still a 25‑30 minute walk to the main attractions. The old building didn’t block out noise very well, and the housekeeping had to refill tea and coffee each day.

I had to haul my luggage up two flights of stairs, which was a bit of a drag.

“Bien, mais beaucoup de place à l'amélioration.”

The hotel is well situated near the train station and tourist spots, but the lunch options were very limited and disappointing, there was no view outside, and the only light came from a narrow passage between buildings.

“One and only life time experience ….”

The property sits right in the center and is close to downtown, and it was clean. The name “petit hotel” is misleading – it feels more like a business rental by room or a B&B, which some may like. Lifting luggage up 28 steps isn’t fun. The management said the office was open from 7 am to 7 pm, but that wasn’t true; on both days no one was there after about 3 pm, only some staff were setting up breakfast in the morning. No extra services were offered, and it was too expensive. The rooms were newly renovated but the interior steps might not suit everyone. I probably won’t come back. The front desk was a bit rude at checkout, though a smile would have helped.
