Located in the heart of Cologne, Hotel Eigelstein is 300 metres from the iconic Cologne Cathedral. Its homelike rooms feature minibars, free WiFi, private bathrooms, cable TV, and refrigerators. Warmly decorated with wooden furniture and carpeted floors, the rooms offer a comfortable stay. A traditional German breakfast buffet is served in the bright, country-style dining room.

The location is great and the staff are very friendly, but the shower entrance is too high for the bathtub.

The spot is solid, just a 10‑minute stroll from the main station, and there are plenty of shops, cafés, and restaurants around. Breakfast was good, making it a nice place for a night in Koln. On the downside, there are a lot of stairs, which isn’t ideal if you’re lugging heavy luggage, and the room is very basic with almost no electrical outlets, so I couldn’t turn the TV on.

We really liked the room and its location, and the breakfast and friendly staff were fantastic, but the TV was broken and the window was hard to tilt; overall the room felt very warm, and the bathtub for showering was oddly shaped and not very nice.

The welcome, availability, and breakfast were excellent!😊 However, the lighting, especially in the bathroom, needs improvement. Thank you.
